Claims are OPEN!

Read the summaries below. We have both podfic and fic looking for artwork (and that can be traditional, digital, fanmix, podfic, audio art, crafts, etc), and they are divided into categories. At 4PM EST, Sunday Nov 2, we will open up comments for claiming.

Pick your top three choices and list them in order of preference. Each artist is allowed to one work at this time; when all the works have been claimed, if in a timely manner, we will open up for works to be claimed by a second artist. If there are still unclaimed works (either for the first or second round of claims) on Tuesday, we will open it up so that artists may claim a second and third work.

If all three of your choices are already claimed, we ask that you make a new comment (rather than reply to your old one) with your new choices. This also goes for when second claiming occurs.

You may have a proxy make your claim, but make sure to let us know who the artist is!

ETA: Artists who have already claimed a piece now may claim up to two more additional pieces! Let us know if you want just one or two (or three if it's your first claim!) We may still open up the stories to second claims, but only once all works have been claimed for a first time.

Not yet signed up as an artist? There's plenty of time, still! Artist sign-ups will be open during claims, but if you sign up before hand, you're more likely to get your first choice!

ETA: So the drafts deadline has come and we haven't heard from some of you! I know these things can sometimes just slip by, because one is busy the day of turn ins. So, your mods are willing to turn a blind eye for just one more day if you want to get your draft into us!

Drafts are due today! By the end of the day touches the east edge of the International Date Line. (Buuuut, both mods will likely be asleep at that point, so as long as you slip it in before 8am CDT, we won't notice.)

What we need:

Writers: either your draft (~80%) as an attachment or a link to it (if on gdocs eg). We won't be reading these, just glancing at them to make sure the thing does exist.

Podficcers: Percent of recording done and percent of editing done, which should be about what you consider to be 80% of your process, plus a short clip (a minute or so) to show the thing exists.

Check-in is here! This is for those of you making a primary work - whether it be writing or podficcing - and let us know how you're doing. Done? Congratulations! Not yet started? That's ok! There's still a whole month left before drafts are due! That's going to be October 27th, by the way!

This check-in IS MANDATORY. If you don't check in, we'll be following up with you! This is to make sure that everyone is aware of the draft due date! (If something happens, and you can't check in, let us know as soon as you realize, and we'll more than likely be very glad to receive a draft from you. But PLEASE check in if you can.)

There will be a little more info regarding drafts when the deadline comes closer, but for now, we're looking for you to be about 80% done - for writing, with our minimum, that's 4k, or 80% of what your projected word count will be. For podficcers, that's about 80% of the whole process done which will vary from podficcer to podficcer.

If you're stuck, remember that we do have some suggestions for where to look for for ideas as well as some examples of actual Harlequins. We also hope that people will generate some prompts on our tumblr.

Reminder that artist sign-ups are OPEN and will remain open through claims.
